Just in time for World Humanitarian Day, August 19th, 2012, Beyonce releases a truly inspiring video entitled ‘I Was Here’, which is also the theme campaign for this year.

In the Music Video, the R&B Queen gives an outstanding performance of her powerful, inspirational single, ‘I Was Here’ from her fourth studio album, entitled ‘4’. Strikingly dressed in a maxi length white dress, Beyonce sang in front of a large crowd at the United Nations General Assembly in New York City.

World Humanitarian Day was developed to recognize those who face struggles in order to help others. According to the United Nations, the ‘I Am Here’ theme this year is about ‘…making your mark by doing something good, somewhere, for someone else.’

As part of the World Humanitarian Campaign, Bey hopes to help bring together one billion persons across the world, using her newly created website Check it out to be apart of the movement.

The message in the song shares her reminiscing on the past and her desire to make an impact on the world. The song was written by Diane Warren and there is also reference to the September 11 terrorist attacks on the United States.

Beyonce never disappoints..and continues to prove herself!
