Following the recent shocking news that Jamaican athlete Veronica Campbell-Brown was tested positive for a banned substance, the Jamaica Athletics Administrative Association (JAAA) have issued a Press Release confirming that the investigative case is currently in full gear.

They also mentioned that while they await the final word from the disciplinary panel assigned to the case, Brown is provisionally suspended, and withdrawn from competition. They highlighted the fact that this was a decision on her part.

Campbell-Brown had earlier declared the substance she used prior to her test, and it was noted that the banned substance was not found stated on the label of the drug used.

Campbell-Brown’s manager, Claude Bryan had this to say on the recent accusations: (via Press Release/Jamaica Observer)

“Veronica is not a cheat, she has via hard work and dedication accomplished a record on the track which is absolutely remarkable.”

“Her faith which rest not in device or creed will see her through this dark period. Due to her determination to vigorously pursue the clearing of her name, she will desist from being vocal, suffice it to say, while not accepting guilt of willfully taking a banned substance, she wholeheartedly apologises to her family, Jamaica, her sponsors, the governing body, the world athletics family, her supporters, as well as those she worked with in various non-athletic causes for any embarrassment and or hurt this devastating news has caused…She remains an ardent believer in the purity of competition, the beauty of the sport and resolute in the fact that unearned suffering has redemptive qualities. She will begin the process of clearing her name.”

Trinidadian world renowned Soca King Machel Montano has ventured into yet another business enterprise.

Today marked the official opening of his duty free ‘The M-Store’ at the Piarco International Airport in Trinidad.

This is not Montano’s first branding feat, as in 2012, Machel launched his ’3 Zero’ Platinum Rum, named in honor of his 30 years in Soca.

The store carries a variety of Duty-Free items, of course including his ’3 Zero’ Rum, CD’s, memorabilias and lots more.

It has been reported that Jamaican sprinter Veronica Campbell-Brown has been tested positive for banned substance at the recent Jamaica Invitational Meet.

Gleaner sources say at the May 4th meet, a random test was done and a ‘sample revealed a diuretic, which acts a masking agent and is banned by The World Anti-Doping Agency.

The consumption of Diuretics makes it hard to detect the presence of any ‘Performance Enhancing Drug in the body, via urine sample.

The test was confirmed and Campbell-Brown notified of the results on June 4th, 2013.

Fans of American Hip-hop recording artiste Kanye West (proudly raises two hands) lol are eagerly awaiting the June 18th release of his sixth solo album, ‘Yeezus produced by Roc-A-Fella Records.

Efforts of Kanye’s team to keep it totally off limits until the actual release date proved futile, as the 10-track album was somehow unfortunately leaked earlier today, spreading on the internet like wild fire…

Based on reviews of fans on the internet from fans who have managed to get a sneak preview of the tracks, this is yet another genius West production, an interesting mix of art….somewhat of a unique, diverse musical ‘experience’ laced with Techno beats, some Dancehall, a number of auto-tune effects which some like and some don’t and of course authentic Kanye-type lyrics.

One thing is certain, Kanye has got a taste of Dancehall music, and it has clearly made a huge impact on the multi-talented Musical guru.

From what I have heard, four of the ten tracks have popular Dancehall artistes, Assassin aka. Agent Sasco (has his own verse on Track 6, ‘Im In It’, Beenie Man (Track 9, ‘Send It up’ contains samples from his ‘Memories’), the ‘Fire Man’ Capleton (Track 3 ‘Im A God’ contains samples from ‘Forward Inna dem clothes’ ) and former Vybz Kartel protoge, Popcaan (Track 8, ‘Guilt Trip’ sampled from Pusha T ft. Popcaan ‘Blocka’).
