Trinidadian Soca artiste and Songwriter, Fay Ann Lyons has confirmed that she has recently enrolled in Law School…yuppers, Lyons has began her path to becoming an Attorney.
The three time Trinidad and Tobago Carnival Road March Champion (2003, 2008, 2009) has been successful in balancing her personal life, despite her hectic schedule. Not too long ago, she got married to fellow Soca artiste Bunji Garlin and they have a daughter together.
In 2009, ‘Miss Behave’ won the title while pregnant with her daughter, Syri; and also became the first Soca artiste and female, to win a triple title. In that same year, she also created history by becoming the first female to win the ‘Power Category’ in the International Soca Monarch.
Lyons told Eceterabuzz.com sources that she is ‘…three months into her studies and no matter how difficult things may get in the when the festive season comes around, she will have to make it to class’. She expressed that this is something she had been considering for awhile now and Entertainment Law may be her specialty.
The 31 year old artiste, is no stranger to standing out in the crowd, and based on her history we are sure she will do the same on her new Educational journey…as she said in her popular single ‘….ah will behave this year…’ haha
Real positive move, CONGRATS Fay Ann!!

Trinidadian Soca Monarch Machel Montano is rightfully known as ‘Mr Fete’… as a line from the song goes, ‘They call me Mr Fete, from I born, I never miss one yet….’.
He was so right….as the International Soca artiste Machel was owning the stage from a young babe in the little island Trinidad, to now selling out concerts all over the world. In 1987, he was the youngest finalist to ever win the Caribbean Song festival . (Wikipedia)
Check out young Machel, as he performs one of his ‘then’ hit songs ‘Too Young To Soca’ in front of a huge crowd at Dimanche gras in 1986. ( the song which had actually brought him to fame at age 9), He was going in on stage as anyone his senior.
Certainly handling it like a little MAN, proving to the world he was not ‘too young to soca’…got those moves down pat, lol … Adorably Awesome!!
Respect to Machel Montano repping for Soca Music….always taking the Caribbean to the world!
