Dragonfly Productions is looking for people who think they may have a distant ancestor from the UK. Their ancestor might be several generations back and come from England, Scotland, Wales or Northern Ireland – but if they have any link to the UK whatsoever, we want to hear about it!
For more info or to apply, call Dragonfly TV at +44 207 033 2319 or visit www.dragonfly.tv or www.guesstherelative.tv
Throughout this show, persons will get a chance to travel to Great Britain to discover relatives, who they never knew existed and get to know what its like living in the UK while at it.
The concept of the show is below:
‘Guess the Relative’ is a new primetime program for Channel 4 Television – a major UK broadcaster. In each episode of the program, one British family will meet three mystery guests who have come to visit from all over the world. The family is told that one of the three is in fact a distant relative, and the other two are not. The family and their guests will all live together for one week, and take part in a number of entertaining tasks during which they must try and deduce which of the three is their genuine relative.
At the end of each episode, the real relative is announced and their ancestral connection revealed. If the family has guessed correctly, they may win a prize to share with their new relation.
It is a witty and irreverent primetime program, but behind the entertaining nature of the show, it playfully raises questions of family identity, shared values, unknown ancestry and genealogy that are pertinent for us all.
They are currently looking for people from the all over the world who think they may have a distant ancestor from the UK. Their ancestor might be several generations back and come from England, Scotland, Wales or Northern Ireland – but if they have any link to the UK whatsoever, we want to hear about it!

Jamaican Dancehall artiste David ‘Mavado’ Brooks hit song ‘Star Bwoy‘ was recently featured on Canada’s popular Dance show, ‘So You Think You can Dance‘.
The vibrant, talented contestants Carlena Britch and Dwayne ‘Boneless’ Gulston used ‘Star Bwoy’ as their selected piece for their dance routine and boy, did they do a great job! Who would have thunk? They had those moves down to the end….
Just recently Dancehall fans were happy to hear the news that the popular deejay, Mavado was reissued a US work visa, where he was able to once again enter the United States, after having his visa revoked for over a year. Other dancehall aristes who have had their visas revoked in recent times, are Beenie Man, Bounty Killer and Vybz Kartel.
