Raymond Dewdney, Gully Bop a.k.a Country Man, who shockingly took the Dancehall scene by storm and building his brand since, has teamed up with Bermudian female Rapper Imari in catchy tune ‘Drop Mi’.( listen below story)
Country Man is popular for his success story of rising from grave poverty to fame in a matter of months via Social media, many at first thinking he was simply a toothless, mad man from the streets with a hidden talent…of which Bop continues to prove he is way more than. Gully Bop has informed the public he will be getting his teeth very soon:-)
He apparently missed his appointment with his US dental surgeon while she was in the island, due to his busy schedule.
He so far boasts break out songs such as “Bad Like Mi” and “Every gal want a work offa mi” and his recent outstanding performance at one of the largest annual Dancehall shows held in Jamaica, Sting.
Bop was recently ‘accused’ of becoming too hype since his recent blow up on the Entertainment scene, which led to his Management team allegedly dropping him.
The artiste has since confirmed his management is his now fiancee, Shauna Chin and apparently now lashing back with said tune ‘Drop Mi’…check it out below
Where are they now one may ask…Though notably quiet on the local music scene, Jamaican veteran duo Tanto Metro and Devonte have been doing their thing on the international circuit, performing worldwide, working with major producers and still representing Dancehall/Reggae music, while diversifying with musicians from various world genres.
The veteran Jamaican duo are popularly known for their 90’s award winning Reggae single, ‘Everyone Falls In Love’ and ‘Give it to Her’, harmonious vocals, catchy songs and comedic yet thought-provoking lyrics and vibe.
Groovemakers Freddy Fresh and Andy Ictus featured the Jamaican duo in their ‘feel good’ single, ‘Hardcore Rocka’ and the fun, quirky, vibesy visuals have been released.
An energetic, somewhat funky backyard party takes place as we hear Tanto and Devonte lending their Dancehall/hardcore flavored vocals to add even even more unique flavor to the rustic rock beat.
The video is currently on MTV’s top Music Videos list…love the fusion!! Taking Jamaica and the Caribbean to the world!
