(See behind-the-scenes from workout DVD below)

Posted on her Social Media pages was the following statement: “Here it is!!! Now available in Walmart in Canada is “IN THE DANCE FITNESS JAMAICA” hosted by yours truly!! Woop woop!!!”….this was followed by a pic of what seems to be the cover of the workout DVD. Former West Indies cricketer, Gingerland, Nevis native Runako Shakur Morton (22 July 1978 – 4 March 2012)died at age 33, in a car accident earlier today.

ESPN reports that around 11 pm, Sunday night, Morton was on his way home from a Cricket match, when his vehicle crashed into a utility pole on the Solomon Hochoy Highway in Chase Village in central Trinidad. His team mates have been extremely disheartened by the tragic news.

Former West Indies Captain, Jamaican born Chris Gayle tweeted: We lost a True Warrior W.I Cricketer Runako Morton-May is soul rest in peace! Our memories together Live On!-My Condolences to his Family 🙁

Fellow teammate Wavell Hinds also said, “Gone far too soon brother Runako. I will treasure the great memories for sure. R.I.P. God knows best.” Julian Hunte, President of the West indies Cricket Board told sources, “Runako’s passing, still in the prime of life, leaves us all in shock,” Hunte said. “He will be remembered as a fierce competitor on the field who gave no quarter whether he was playing for West Indies, Leeward Islands, Nevis or Trinidad and Tobago. ” England batsman Kevin Pietersen also expressed his shock, he tweeted, “My thoughts go out to Runako Morton’s family this morning… Such sad news!! What a lovely guy & fierce competitor!! RIP bossman!!!”

Runako played 15 tests and 56 One Day Interntaionals for WI, one of the few players hailing from Nevis, one of the smaller Caribbean islands, who represented the West Indies at the international level in Cricket. He made his international debut in 2002 when he was recalled to the team to replace former WI cricketer Marlon Samuels; this was after being expelled from the team in 2001, due to a number of dicisplinary breaches. During his career, Runako was considered a very jovial, well-loved person and very talented.

Morton is survived by his wife Leiselle Morton and three children, the youngest, aged one year old. RIP Runako… another young brother taking the Caribbean to the world, gone too soon.
