Award winning Gospel Reggae Recording artiste Omari launches his first book, ‘Why Me God’

A number of local Caribbean artistes have been tapping into the world of writing, and Jamaican singer Gospel singer Andrew Omari Edwards is the latest to achieve this feat of Author. His faith based novel ‘Why Me God’, is set to be released October 19th by local publishers, Page Turner Publishing House.

The charismatic, spirited yet grounded young artiste, is known for penning songs which young people can identify with and society in general. His debut hit single ‘Help’ is actually the song which his soon-to-be-released novel is based on.

He has released other Gospel Reggae-fused thought-provoking and inspirational tunes such as ‘Jehovah Guide Me’, ‘God Ah Guide’, ‘Heart and Soul’ and ‘Impossible’ ft. Papa San. His debut album, ‘Heal Jamaica, Heal the World’ was released in 2011.

The smooth toned yet powerful singer, boasts public accolades from winning ‘Best Gospel Song’ at the 2010 IRAWMA Awards and ‘Reggae Recording for the Year’ at the 2008 Marlin Awards; of which he had also received five nominations. He has also received multiple nominations at the prestigious EME (Excellence In Music and Entetainment) and Reggae Academy Awards.

Page Turner Publishing House have also worked with other public Jamaican figures such as Dancehall artistes D’Angel and Macka Diamond, and Media personality Miss Kitty in releasing their novels.

This is a good look for yet another talented local Caribbean artiste…Congrats Omari!
